The nature playground is located in the South Yard of Gawler Primary School. This area is used by all students at lunch and recess on a rotating roster due to its popularity. Classes also access the nature play space for collaborative learning time and fitness sessions.
Constructed by local company "Dirk Works, our nature play space was a $100K+ project, managed by the school, and installed in 2019.
The nature play movement within schools was initiated to create unstructured play spaces where children could explore and use their imaginations, freely developing resilience and creativity in the process.
